Tom Lammers

A message from the president….
“Over thirty years ago I founded Houston Structural, Inc. based on an old fashioned principle – hard work. And today, I am still as committed to this principle. With my extensive construction background and degree in architectural engineering, I am uniquely qualified in the industry. I’ve been president of N.A.R.I., president of the GHBA Remodeler’s Council, member of the board of directors for the Texas Association of Builders (TAB), and served as the NARI delegate to the Construction Industry Council.    I’ll be with you and on your job through every phase of construction. My pledge to you is for an outstanding job – to your satisfaction.

Tom Lammers, President and CEO

Tom is a champion for the homeowner and the remodeler in the building industry.  Tom has a degree in architectural engineering and holds the qualifications of Certified Remodeler (CR), Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), and Graduate Master Builder (GMB). For over 28 years, Tom has been an active member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). He is a member of the local board of directors, having twice held the position of president, and was the vice president of Standards and Ethics. He is active with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the largest and most influential trade organization in the industry. He has been a member of the Texas Association of BuildersGovernment Affairs Committee, the NARI delegate to the Construction Industry Council (CIC) for over 25 years. He has served on the High Wind Study Group, helping draft windstorm building codes for the southeast Texas area. As a result of many years of Tom's advice, leadership and hard work, the vital Texas statewide building code standard, using the International Residential Building Code, was passed into law. This benefits homeowners, builders and remodelers by creating uniformity of construction techniques and enforcement procedures for noncompliance.

One of Houston Structural Inc.'s subcontractors sums up the high regard homeowners and associates have for Tom and the company: "We work for hundreds of individual builders and contractors," says Richard Christ, president of Mas Tech II Services, "and what sets Tom Lammers apart is he's an advocate for his client's best interests and puts the customer first. Tom is on site more than other contractors. He's one of the good guys. With Tom Lammers, 'good enough' never is! This is his passion, his legacy, and what we know him for. I think when Tom hangs up his hammer that will be his legacy. It's a great one."

With the vision of providing excellent service to clients throughout subsequent generations, Houston Structural Inc. seeks to hire and keep the finest people. In an endeavor to give the company permanence, partners have been included, and a graduated ownership plan adopted to facilitate this. Each partner brings unique training and talents to the team.
