Pat Briggs, Secretary / Treasurer and Office Manager
Pat Briggs is our Corporate Secretary / Treasurer and part owner of Houston Structural, Inc. She manages the office and accounting functions and brings to Houston Structural, Inc. logical organizational expertise, trouble-shooting capability, an eye for detail, a professional hard working attitude, and a take-charge personality.
Pat has been a bookkeeper and office manager since 1976, before the age of computerized accounting. She trained individually under a C.P.A. in San Antonio, TX and organized and maintained the financial records for a new kitchen design firm in 1977. Over the years, she was accustomed to receiving receipts, invoices, stubs, etc. in paper bags from various small businesses, and manually organizing the data, turning out trial balances and profit/loss statements.
She has since become computer literate, having taken several computer courses, and has several years experience with Microsoft Office, Peachtree, and Timberline / Sage Accounting software. In 1997 she oversaw the upgrade of our accounting software systems from a DOS-based system to Windows. In 2001, she closed out H.S.I.’s former software package and completely reconfigured the bookkeeping settings, reorganizing H.S.I. records in the Timberline Gold accounting package.
Pat Briggs has been with Houston Structural, Inc. since August, 1992. Her other talents include customer service, systems design & implementation, project audits, estimating, drafting, and time management.
